About Us

Nancy offers a wide range of styles from Mindful Yoga, Restorative, Yoga Nidra, Yin, and Chair Yoga. Nancy is a 500 Hour RYT with Yoga Alliance. Nancy received her 200 Hour certification through YogaFit, and her 300 Hour certification with Three Trees Yoga and Healing Arts Center. She holds an additional 140 Hour certification in Trauma Sensitive Yoga with YogaFit in their Warriors program. Yoga finds us when we are ready. She believes with her whole heart that yoga is for every “body”. We don’t already have to be anything to begin. Nancy's teaching is trauma informed, and Nancy’s students have described her teaching as calm, encouraging, and well balanced. Her instruction flows poetically between alignment and philosophy. She offers many options to meet individual needs. Participants describe leaving her class as feeling strong, serene and graceful. Every breath is an opportunity to slow down and find the stillness within.  When Nancy isn't teaching yoga you can find her riding her bike, swimming, golfing, camping with her family in their travel trailor, or hiking in the Sonoran Desert.

Nancy has designed her yoga sessions to build strength, flexibility, balance and mindfulness. I enjoy each of her sessions and feel better after every class. She provides alternative poses to encourage each person to "listen to their body". Nancy's Zoom classes are an opportunity to practice yoga with others in a safe environment, using props that we can adapt from things we have at home. Yoga is about connection and concentration.  Connection to something universal outside ourselves; concentration on what is happening now.  If you are like me, you have a tough time connecting to or concentrating on anything while attempting an extended side angle pose.  Nancy’s Yoga Nidra and Restorative Yoga Classes are excellent ways to give your body sufficient time and space to experience connection and concentration.  If nothing else, they will leave you calm and relaxed for the rest of the day.  Highly recommended.

Yoga keeps me going.  I need to keep active and keep moving which I am dedicated to doing.  I do have to modify movements in class to accommodate these issues. (Not always pretty.)  The Thursday class is just for me.  I deal with discomfort every day.  Nidra and restorative give me calm and peace.  It gives me rest.  It is a needed reset for my body to feel the still, the calm or the stretch.  It is a reward.  It is a treat.  I relax.  It is relief from the discomfort.  It is the most pleasant mental break.   I truly enjoy Thursday classes for those reasons and many more.
